Church of our Lady of Perpetual Help

From 1978, Fr. Attilio Franceschetti, Parish Priest of St. Michael's Church, Sharjah, began to look after Khorfakkan with religious services in private houses for the people of the area, comprising also Fujairah and Dibba.



In 1980’s masses were held every other Tuesday in a house officiated by Fr. Eusebius Deveri from Sharjah parish.

When Fujairah became more important, with seaport, airport, free zone and other facilities, it became necessary to look after the Catholics there in a better way. In February 1992 Bishop Bernard Gremoli appointed Fr. Michael Cardoz, an incardinated priest, as Fujairah's first resident parish priest covering whole East Coast area.
