Al Ain Men's College, located in the garden city of Al Ain, has a relatively short history. One of the four original colleges of the HCT system, AAM first opened its doors to students in September 1988.

Key dates in AAM History:

September 1988: AAMC opens with 61 students 18 staff.
September 1989: AAMC starts Foundations program and enrols 69 new students.
August 1991: First cohort of Engineering & Business students graduate.
September 1993: AAMC initiates part-time program and enrols 31 part-time students.
September 1995: AAMC starts new Certificate and Diploma programs in Technology and General Business. Enrolments increase from 105 in 1994 to 261 in 1995.
January 1996: AAMC moves to permanent site near the Zoo.
September 1996: AAMC enrolments increase for the second year in a row. The student population now stands at 378 and the staff numbers have reached 78.
September, 1999: AAMC enrolments are now over 500 students and the staff numbers are now 90.
October, 1999: New outdoor athletics and recreation facilities are completed at AAMC.
