The Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort is not a new endeavor, but builds on the forty year heritage of the Al Ain Zoo. Evolving from the far-sighted vision of the late Sheikh Zayed, the Father of the Nation, the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort is deeply rooted in the cultural heritage and values of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. The Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort occupies 900 hectares (2000 Acres) of land including that of the former Al Ain Zoo. Construction of the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort will be completed in phases. Phase One, including the African Safari and the Sheik Zayed Desert Learning Center, is underdevelopment to be complete by December 2010. The Phase Three will be complete in December 2013.
