HINO MOTORS LIMITED (HML) is a subsidiary of TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) and was founded in 1910. Hino has a rich history in the automotive industry and is the largest manufacturer of trucks and buses in Japan. Hino also produces Toyota badged vehicles on commission, including the popular sport utility vehicle, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Toyota FJ Cruiser using the Toyota Production System (TPS) to achieve continuing gains in productivity and in quality throughout its operations and has also adapted this sytem in it’s own model line.
