The Australian School of Abu Dhabi (ASAD) is a international school in UAE. It opened its doors in Abu Dhabi in September 2006 in a temporary building.
In September 2007 the school moved to its permanent building at Khalifa City B. The campus since then has developed into a modern learning facility.
Facilities on campus include a indoor fully air-conditioned international standard 27m swimming pool, soccer fields and a state of the art gymnasium.
The school has three science laboratories equipped for general science, biology, chemistry , and physics.
The Australian School of Abu Dhabi encourages reading and the love of learning, the school library contains level appropriate material for all its students for all levels KG -12.
The campus is also equipped four Computer laboratories with over 120 computers with internet access available for student research, an important component of the schools learner programs.
The Australian School Of Abu Dhabi is a fully registered international school from KG-1 to year 12 with separate wings and playgrounds for each division. And separate Facilities for male and female students.
The school has a separate well equipped modern kindergaten section with adventure areas, swings, and infant playgrounds.
The school is a branch of the Australian International Academy. The Academy which has been operating in Australia since 1983 has branches in Melbourne, Sydney and Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Australian School of Abu Dhabi is a unique example of the advanced Australian Education System with an international dimension.
The Academy’s Melbourne branch offers the three IB Programs; the Diploma (DP), the Middle Years (MYP) and the Primary Years (PYP).
Abu Dhabi branch is an authorised IB Diploma school and also a candidate school for both PYP and MYP.
Being an international school, ASAD caters for the needs of all cultures. It is a multi cultural institution, striving for academic excellence.
Islamic and Arabic studies classes are available at all year levels. Non muslim students are offered instead, studies in Australian Values and Civics. The school also offers French language studies.
