The Capital School is an International school, reflecting the diverse nature of students and the context of the UAE as centre of innovation and growth. We work to international standards based around the English National Curriculum, but with a strong programme of Arabic and English language to ensure that all students have good communication skills. Our school boasts excellent facilities in sport, technology and learning support and a programme of English language support that will give all our students both the confidence and skill to be able to access the English National Curriculum successfully and enter higher education and the workforce with confidence. We want our students to be global citizens with a good understanding of global issues and the skills to be able to work together and valuing the contributions all can make. The school will open as a full Primary School and Foundation Stage in September 2014 and then in successive years the school will expand a Secondary School. Our mission is to provide an excellent education enabling all students, irrespective of their background and starting point, to make good progress in their academic and personal development. We aim to develop students' increasing responsibility and independence, respect for each other and for the diversity of culture and heritage around them, and to encourage positive contributions through their interaction with the community. Our students will be global citizens with a good knowledge of the world and of the contribution they each can make to society both now and in the future. The vision of the school reflects our ethos of nurturing 'students with high aspirations, achieving well and becoming the creative thinkers they need to be to contribute as global citizens of the future'. The school will provide students with a high quality co-educational British style education that aims for high international academic standards and the development of learning skills that will equip them to thrive in their future lives, wherever that may be.
