About

Established in October 2002 in Dubai, Dolce Antico is the house of authentic Italian delights. Since its inception, the second store was opened in Kuwait in 2004 followed by the only franchisee outlet in Abu Dhabi in 2005 and of recent, a new branch at the Al Qasba in Sharjah in 2010.

At Dolce Antico, you can find a large assortment of typical Italian creamy chocolates, sweets, delicious biscuits, natural and healthy jams, honey and colored candies. In the same time you will find a wide array of pre-arranged baskets and trays filled with the best quality and most beautiful products decorated with precious ribbons.

Dolce Antico carefully selects its Italian suppliers amongst the small artisan enterprises that have a long tradition of using only natural high quality products and ingredients. Most of the suppliers are from the Piedmont region, the region where chocolate was invented and soon exported to France, Belgium and eventually worldwide. This delight was in fact born in the 19th century at the royal court of King Victor Emmanuel II of Savoy in Turin, former capital of Italy before Rome. This tradition continues to date through companies such as Pastiglie Leone established in 1857 or Sebaste (Torrone Martino) in 1885.

All the brands that you will find in Dolce Antico have a long tradition. To mention a few, Pastiglie Leone established in 1857, Cioccolato Stroppiana in 1942, Pasticceria Rippa in 1958, Sorrisi di Torino in 1948 and Torrone Martino in 1885 whose white truffles are the most popular and fastest moving item in the shop. Guido Gobino has recently got onboard Dolce Antico’s exclusive suppliers; they were awarded in 2008 for their superior chocolate.
