Dubai Insurance Company was the first local Insurance Company to be formed in the UAE when it was incorporated in 1970 as a Public Shareholding Company. Thus, we mark over four decades since its formation by Decree of His Highness, Sheikh Rashid Al Makhtoum. In the past 5 years it has grown in premium volume from under AED 30 mm to over AED 270 mm in 2011, and is among the top performers in terms of profitability.
