Abgoosht or Dizi (DZI) is a tasty classic Iranian dish, which has been cooked by the Persian people for thousands of years. It is classified as one of the Easiest (EZI), most simple but luscious Iranian dishes.Although the food is deemed as very "simple", there are actually specific ingredients, cooking methods and special preparations in making it.Traditionally the dish is made early in the morning, the pot is left on the charcoal stove to simmer throughout the day. Finally when it is ready, it will be served for lunch or dinner. The recipes vary from family-to-family, district-to-district and town-to-town.Dizi is delicious and filling, however, there is a specific way of eating it as well.
