About

The founding of the Fujairah College (FC) was initiated by the members of the Fujairah Welfare Association (WFA). It is a semi-government and non-profit educational institution. The college was formally established in April 2006 and receives its approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to operate as a higher learning institution in Fujairah City.

On August 16, 2006, with the effort of the members of the Board of Trustee chaired by the Honorable and His Excellency Saed Ben Muhammad Al-Raqabani, Honorable and His Excellency Hameed Al- Gatamy and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the College, Dr. Ghassan Al-Qaimairi, the college received its status as accredited academic institution from the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to offer the first two associate degrees in Business Administration and Information Technology, effective September 1, 2006.

With the leadership of the CEO, the Center for English Language Development (CELD) and Center for Continuing Education and Executive Development (CEED) were established to augment the services of the college in terms of literacy programs and professional development. In addition, the overflowing of consortium program invitations and institutional collaborative research linkages were received from the various international universities. While the campus infrastructure plans are underway, the FC has been using the building facilities of the Fujairah Trade Center (FTC), particularly 10, 11 and 12th floors.
