GRAKO was establishing during the UAE's property, architectural, tourism and business boom of 2004. Public appearance was of paramount importance. The UAE Government and municipalities therefore started implementing strict regulations, so to meet new standards of cleanliness. However, traditional cleaning companies were not equipped to offer alternative cleaning methods to replace the costly and time consuming methods of re-painting facades in order to maintain the general cleanliness and public image of a property.
