Our Curriculum:The Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which supports children’s learning and development from birth to 5 years. The programme offers a rich and varied environment which supports each individual children’s learning and development; after all ‘every child is unique’.Our marvelous facilities allow us to offer children the ability to access this learning both indoor and in our outdoor spaces. The organization of the environment allows them to independently investigate, explore, create, think and make their own decisions. These opportunities ensure that they develop confidence and a high level of self-esteem which are crucial to a child’s future well being. Hopscotch Nursery comprises 6 specially designed age appropriate classrooms with the addition of a separate indoor play area, a sleeping room, kitchen for fun cooking activities, a library, a spacious outdoor play area and an activity room. Through EYFS your child will be learning skills, acquiring newknowledge and demonstrating their understanding through 7 areas of learning and development. Children develop in the three Prime areas first. These are:Physical Development;Communication and Language;Personal, Social and Emotional DevelopmentThese prime areas are those most essential for your child’s healthy development and future learning. As children grow, the Prime areas are gradually expanded into a further 4 specific areas which are:Literacy;Mathematics;Understanding the World;Expressive Arts and Design. These 7 areas are used to plan your child’s learning and activities. The professional teaching and support in place for your child will make sure that the activities are suited to your child’s unique needs.
