About

International Language Center started as Queen's Language Institute in the early 1980's in a small flat on Zehra St., opposite Sharjah Police Headquarters. It was started by Peter Gray and a local partner, Dr. Hamad Al Tunaiji. The flat soon grew too small, owning to the high number of enrollment and the expansion of other classes for ladies. At least half of the teaching was on contracts outside the school.

In 1987 with great delight, the institute moved to new premises on Soor (Mina) Road, with five large, bright classrooms. Over the next few years, it reorganized to 10 classrooms, and a tiny staff room.

By that time, the name and logo had changed as well. It was formerly knows as "Queen's Language Institute", with a clever logo based on the Union Jack, resembling a Q. Both the name and logo worked well.

In 1994, the institute moved once again. This time to the spacious new location in Dasman, since then, there have been new chapters added to the story of the humble beginnings. The Computer Centre, as we know it now was then established using the entire space of the smaller villa. Today, it is well equipped and uses the latest advance technology in the computer industry.

Every summer months, International Language Center offers Summer School programmes for children and adult students to improve their computer skills. During these months, bus transportation was made flexible and convenient.
