King’s is a world-renowned teaching hospital in London with over 175 years’ experience, that is now fully present in the UAE. In writing the next chapter in the King’s legacy, we are excited to be expanding our UAE footprint with the opening of our very first Dubai based facility therefore, continuing the natural links between the United Kingdom and the Emirates. Our state-of-the-art multi-speciality medical centres based in in Jumeirah and Marina add to our flagship Abu Dhabi Medical and Surgical Centre that is already operational. Our new 100-bed multi-specialty tertiary hospital has just opened in the prestigious Dubai Hills estate. We’ve also got a planned phase two expansion for 2020 in the pipeline, adding another 100 beds to the hospital and 2 additional medical centres. Ties between King’s College Hospital London and the UAE originate from 1979, when a generous donation from the late great, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, former President of the UAE, helped establish King’s liver research centre. That centre is now amongst the top three liver specialist centres in the world.
