Louvre Abu Dhabi was founded in March of 2007. The foundation of Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island is the pinnacle of the UAE and France's historic collaboration for cultural exchange. Through the agreement, France's museum and art industry know-how would be combined with the UAE's audacious ideal of cultural advancement and openness. It will also play an important social role in the United Arab Emirates. In this respect, it can be seen as a product of the 18th-century Enlightenment in Europe. This movement gave birth to the principle of the encyclopedic and universal museum housing diverse collections of artworks for the purposes of public display and scientific study.Louvre Abu Dhabi offers a global vision of the history of world art, one that is inevitably evolve over time.
