Rashid Center for Diabetes and Research is a unique center in many ways. It provides an interesting example of a cross boarder public-private-academia partnership being owned by the UAE Ministry of Health and managed by Global Health Partner in collaboration with the Swedish public Skane University Hospital and Lund University,Global Health Partner, which is a Swedish healthcare organization, has extensive experience in developing and promoting specialized health care services all over the world. A medical advisory board from Skane University Hospital, one of the largest university hospitals in Sweden offering advanced medical care, training and prominent research, has been established to secure quality of treatment, research and professional education at RCDR.
