The hotel is pleased to present the first yakiniku-style restaurant in Dubai. Offering an interactive dining experience, dishes are prepared on a grill built into each table for an authentic Japanese meal. The dining room features a series of semi-private booths, as well as open tables. As a yakiniku-style restaurant, Sumibiya offers diners a nightly barbeque buffet. From the best pickled starters to a fine selection of marinated beef, seafood and chicken with special sauces, diners can enjoy a delicious meal, unlimited house wine, Grolsch beer and soft beverages for only 180 DHS.Yakiniku literally translates to “grilled meat.” All the tables are built around a central grill, tailor-made by SHINPO in Tokyo. Guests become the master chefs by grilling their meat, seafood and vegetables. The ingredients are wonderfully fresh and enhanced by a number of Korean classic side dishes, including the legendary fermented cabbage called kimchi.Central to the Sumibiya experience is the restaurant's design, executed by leading Singaporean hospitality and leisure designer, David Tokiwa. From the warm lighting to the clean lines and neutral tones, the emphasis is on cosy simplicity. Clever use of contemporary drapes and Japanese lanterns allow the staff to create little private spaces away from the buzz of the main area. In keeping with the interactive approach, the kitchen is a focal point of Sumibiya where the team of expert chefs perform their dazzling ritual of preparation and cooking.Opening hoursLunch12:30 - 15:00 (Daily)Dinner19:00 - 23:00 (Daily)
