About

The Aviation Club is owned and managed by Dubai Duty Free and was opened in 1991 under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

During the past 16 years the Club has undergone a number of internal and external improvements to maintain, and improve upon, its unique blend of world-class hospitality and a range of sports and leisure facilities second to none.

The Aviation Club becomes the centre of sporting attention each February when the Dubai Tennis Stadium plays host to the Dubai Tennis Championships. The prestigious centre court has hosted tennis stars Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, Goran Ivanisevic, Venus & Serena Williams, Lindsay Davenport and many more. The Dubai Tennis Stadium has been voted “Best Venue” by players on the ATP Tennis Tour for three consecutive years.

The stadium doubles as a major entertainment venue, often hosting entertainment and big-name concerts throughout the year such as Sting, Geri Halliwell, Gloria Gaynor, The Gypsy Kings, Enrique Iglesias and more.

The Century Village is an enchanting restaurant complex within the Aviation Club grounds. Here, visitors can choose from an array of tantalizing menus from around the world with separate restaurants offering Japanese, Portuguese, Arabian, French, Italian and British delights.

The Irish Village has been voted the best pub for the past four years by What's On! It has also become quite a social magnet for resident expatriates, holiday makers and music lovers and is often bursting at the seams on certain dates in the calendar (such as St. Patrick’s Day and New Year’s Eve). In particular, it has a well-deserved reputation for live music, with bands performing on the open-air terrace or on the grass surrounding the adjacent lake.

Membership at the Aviation Club is multinational and is not restricted to those involved in the aviation industry.

Facilities at the Aviation Club include six tennis courts(5 for member's use), two-tier swimming pool with 25m lap lanes, two squash courts, two aerobics studios, gymnasium, saunas, steam room, Jacuzzi, plunge pools, sand volleyball court, luxury spa, duty free sports shop, hairdressing salons (ladies and gentlemen), conference and banqueting facilities for up to 500 people, parking for 2,000 cars, and with no less than twelve different locations to wine, dine or sip a cappuccino in. When we said we have you in mind, we meant it!

From competition class squash and tennis courts to volleyball, aerobics and a state-of-the-art gymnasium, The Aviation Club also offers personal fitness training and tuition is available for many sports and in-club and inter-house competitions take place on a regular basis.

For the less-sporty a comprehensive line-up of social activities ensures that members have a varied and interesting social calendar throughout the year.

It’s not all go at the Aviation Club though, we're also delighted to invite our members and guests to step into The Cellar, a comfortable and relaxed contemporary restaurant that evokes the décor of a medieval guildhall. Here you'll find Dubai's widest selection of wines with over 300 on the wine list! Offering a splendid view of the lake to the Irish Village, a charming open terrace and a full bar area, you may not want to leave, and if you do, you'll certainly want to come back.

Don't forget the Aviation Club always keeps you in mind, and to this extent you'll find that all our prices are charged net of tax and service.
