The Mother Tongue Center was established in Abu Dhabi in 2005 as a specialized center for teaching Arabic. It aims at raising the standard of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers from the experimental level to that of academic specialization.The Center′s Administration works diligently to achieve the Center′s vision and objectives to teach Arabic as a second language and promote a developed educational system specialized in teaching students, training instructors and developing curricula that meet the needs of the non Arabic-speaking students. The Center focuses on teaching the Classic Arabic Language, because it is the appropriate language for everyday life and is considered the official language in all Arab countries and the understandable and common language in the Arab World in culture, thought, media and politics…etc.The Center consists of the three sections:Instruction and Regular Courses.Curriculum Development and Instructor Training.Pedagogical Techniques Section.The Center′s Vision:To become a global institution for promoting a systematic approach in teaching Arabic language, instructor training and curriculum development at the highest standards.The Center′s Mission:Highlighting the Arab culture in the world of communication via the Arabic language through the student, instructor and curriculum.The Center′s Objectives:Providing new, distinguished curricula in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.Training instructors and upgrading their skills.Preparing educational courses corresponding to the students′ various interests.Promoting the Center′s curricula and systems.Cultivating distinguished professional relations.
