In 1996 UnlimITed’s founder and CEO was out of work. 19 Years old, recently relocated to Dubai, with a few Microsoft Certified Professional qualifications but no income. Whilst job hunting he was offered a part time job to do Dubai IT Services Support for Maunsell Engineering (Now Aecom). Unfortunately the salary was also part time However finding a Dubai IT job was proving difficult, so after some discussions Ross took it on as an IT Services Support Contract, what was to be UnlimITed’s first Dubai IT Contract. Over the next 4 years Ross was recommended to other companies and was now providing IT Services support for 5 Companies and earning a great salary. However Ross had seen a gap in the Dubai IT Support market and pushed hard to acquire more clients that wanted professional IT services support. UnlimITed started its first sales drive, and over the next two years Ross filled his working week with contracts in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. In 2001 UnlimITed hired its first staff member followed by another hire in 2002. By the end of 2002 Unlimited had 3 IT Engineers including Ross.UnlimITed continued at a steady growth rate and by 2006 had 6 engineers and had established an office in Deira. UnlimITed at this stage only offered IT Services Support, we used other suppliers for Hardware and Software purchase, cabling and Telephone support. We were purely focused on delivering high quality IT Services Support. However UnlimITed had stagnated, our growth was slow and difficult. As a very small company we had a large number of IT Services Support contracts and we were accomplishing all our customers’ needs but we were not gaining any more key customers. We recruited our first sales people during those years and had mixed success. We had no marketing or lead generation. We updated our website and by 2007 we had created our first Google Adwords campaign, which then led to us starting to optimize our website and conducting Search Engine Optimisation, we were the first IT company in UAE to do Google Adwords and by the end of 2011 UnlimITed was on the front page of all of our main keyword searches. This gained us a massive amount of leads and allowed UnlimITed to triple in size during the middle years, this has been the biggest growth UnlimITed has ever seen. By the end of 2011 UnlimITed had 35 staff and had added on Hardware procurement, cabling services to our product portfolio.
